Season 2 of the Star Wars franchise likely won’t be uploaded to Disney+ in September.
Earlier this year, when we rounded up the content Star Wars fans can watch in the coming years, we were expecting to get Season 2 of the animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch this year, but that may not be the case.
According to original plans, Disney+ subscribers could watch the sequel from the end of September, and they even showed off a cozy trailer from next season, but we’ll probably have to wait longer than we wanted to.
The sad news came straight from Disney, with Star Wars: The Bad Batch season two simply removed from the list of September releases and premieres on the streaming platform. According to speculation, this could be because the Andor series starring Diego Luna slipped, causing a domino effect and pushing the premiere away.
Andor will end at the end of November, and Season 3 of The Mandalorian could begin in February 2023, so there’s still room for Clone Unit 99’s story to unfold between them.
