The first developer preview of Android 13 (DP1) was released in February, and now the second version of the preview (DP2) has arrived, providing a very useful innovation.
Android 13 Developer Preview 2 now released is still for developers, not for everyday use, but it shows the innovations that Google is making. One of the most interesting additions recently added to the system is that apps are not automatically allowed to send notifications, they can be given to them on first launch, or even dismissed. This way, there will be much fewer unwanted notifications on our phones, only the ones that really matter to us.
There are other innovations in DP2, of course, but most of them are aimed at developers. And the most exciting innovations were already in DP1 around them We wrote here.
Like the previous version, Android 13 Developer Preview 2 is available for download on the following devices:
- Pixel 6 and 6 Pro phones
- Pixel 5
- Pixel 5a 5G
- Pixel 4 and 4 XL
- Pixel 4a and 4a 5G
According to the official schedule, the Android 13 beta program will start in April, which is expected to last for four months, after which the final version may arrive.
