The situation is intensifying at the Polish-Belarus border

The situation on the Belarusian-Polish border remains tense. Thousands of migrants crowded along the border and want to cross Poland. There have been several hack attempts in recent weeks. The M1 Newsletter reported that there were times when the border was attacked nearly 200 times in a group within 48 hours.

Footage released by Polish border guards shows Belarusian soldiers trying to make their work impossible with strobe lights. The border guards said Belarusian soldiers damaged the wire fence extensively. Then about a hundred immigrants tried to break through the Polish uniform line. The immigrants were also shedding tears. According to Warsaw, the tear gas was apparently received by border violators from the Belarusian authorities.

On Saturday evening, the Polish Defense Minister said that all attempts to breach the border on the Polish side had been thwarted. About 15,000 soldiers and 26,000 policemen serving on the border have prevented a total of more than 33,000 attempts since the beginning of the year.

Both the European Union and NATO see the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border as being fueled by the Belarusian regime.

But Minsk denies all the accusations. Moreover, the Belarusian Foreign Minister claims that thousands of illegal immigrants have been deported to where they left.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that the situation on the Polish border is not Belarus but the European Union.

“Belarus has nothing to do with this. It is not surprising that immigrants travel through Belarus, where they can enter without a visa.” The Russian president said. According to him, immigrants mainly want to go to Germany, so the situation between Berlin, Warsaw and Minsk needs to be resolved.

According to a public media reporter on the spot, relative calm currently prevails on the hundreds of miles long border.

Poland’s Interior Ministry published a message in Arabic on Sunday evening saying soldiers are being recruited for another possible attack on the Polish border.

In the Kuznica section on the Polish-Belarus border, tents were demolished, the land cleared, and more immigrants and soldiers arrived.

The public information correspondent said that from the Polish side they are sending messages to the camp residents with loudspeakers that it is not worth attacking the border, because even if they succeed, they will not reach Germany and everyone will leave.
