The sixth blow of the European Union may come to the Russians

EU diplomats said on Sunday that EU foreign ministers are expected to discuss details of another sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia at a meeting in Luxembourg on Monday, but that a proposal on oil or gas imports is not on the table.

The sanctions package imposes an EU ban on imports of coal and other solid fossil fuels from Russia, as well as products such as wood, cement, fertilizers and some luxury goods, among others. It is prohibited to register ships flying the Russian flag in the ports of the European Union. It imposes a general ban on Russian companies in public procurement in EU member states and a total ban on transactions for four large Russian banks. It also imposed sanctions on oligarchs, businessmen, senior Russian parliamentary officials, and disinformation spreaders and supporters.

European Union foreign ministers are expected to agree to release another 500 million euros in arms aid from the European Union to Ukraine on Monday, MTI reported.
