Mark Milley, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, has canceled his visit to the Middle East that was scheduled to begin on Saturday because of the situation in Russia, Milley’s spokesman said.
According to a CNN news report on Saturday, US officials who spoke to the press said that in January, the government had already detected signs of an internal power struggle between the Wagner Group and the Russian government, and since then has been constantly collecting information and assessing the fragile situation.
