In what US officials called the landmark speech outlining Washington’s stance on Russia’s 16-month-old invasion of Ukraine, Blinken warned that some countries would likely call for a cease-fire in the coming weeks and months.

The statement of the US Secretary of State – and at the same time, it seems, the official position of the United States of America – is not new. Previously, many internet “meme sites” and pro-Ukrainian Twitter accounts were keen on the performance of the Russian army in Ukraine, similarly describing Moscow’s forces as the second-strongest Ukrainian army.
