According to Insidethegames.biz, nearly half of the 592 competitors have already competed in a five-ring event, with more than fifty two-time Olympians, 16 three-time, four four-time, and three five-time Olympians.
The portal also reveals that the team includes 122 Olympic medalists, including 66 Olympic champions, who have won a total of 110 gold medals.
The biggest name belongs to swimmer Katie Ledecky, who leads the all-time winners list with seven golds and three silvers, while gymnast Simone Biles and fellow swimmer Caeleb Dressel will come to Paris with seven medals each, and the third swimmer, Ryan Murphy, is currently a six-time quintuple medalist.
Weight gain in female
Although this year's Olympics will be the first in history to feature gender equality in the composition of the sports field, the U.S. Olympic representation will once again be dominated by women: 314 women were on the team in addition to 278 male competitors.
This is the fourth time in a row that the country's Olympic Committee has sent more women than men to the Games.
