The world's tallest residential building is being built in Brazil.

It will be much higher than the average board.

In the southern part of Brazil, in the ocean-facing city of Balneário Camboriú, a skyscraper is being built that is billed as the tallest residential building in the world. At 509 metres, it even surpasses Taipei 101, which held the title of the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010, until it was knocked off its throne by the Burj Khalifa.

Unlike most skyscrapers of similar size, the building is not being built as an office building or any other type of complex, but will contain apartments: on 154 floors, it will have a total of 233 apartments, including luxury residences of more than 1,500 square meters on the upper floors. The construction project is being led by Brazilian companies, including FG Jobsa construction company operating in the city of Balneário Camboriú, and architect Gregory Bousquet from Triptyque Arquitetura studio is responsible for the design.

At the moment, not much is known about the building, and FG Empreendimentos has only provided a brief description of what the skyscraper will look like, not when construction is expected to start or more detailed specifications. What is certain, however, is that the city government has already accepted the construction plans, which means that the Triumph Tower has been given the green light. The tallest residential building in the world is currently in New York: the Central Park Tower, which rises 472 meters above 57th Street. The second place is held by the Steinway Tower, also on 57th Street, at 435 meters, and in third place is the 432 Park Avenue, also in New York, at 425 meters.
