The final list of children admitted to nurseries in Nagivarad and those on the waiting list has been published and can be found on the website of the Nagivarad Social Welfare Directorate (DASO). This year, more children have applied to enroll in Várad Nursery than there are places available. Even after the final lists were published, many children remained on the waiting list, which is why the Farad municipality renegotiated the lease agreement for the property housing Nursery No. 13 on 24 Bombakolwe Street. The contract was extended for another year with the property owner and the decision on this matter was also approved by the Nagivarad Local Council at its last meeting. Aware of the new situation, the board of directors is informing parents whose children are still on the waiting list that they can apply for admission to the said nursery until August 5, depending on the number of places available. Applications can be submitted in person at DASO headquarters (Teleki / Primăriei utca 42) or by e-mail ([email protected]). The ad reveals that the nursery has 60 beds. If the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, the order of admission is determined in descending order of the result originally achieved. “Thank you to the landlord where the daycare is located, because we were able to extend the lease for another year, so we didn’t have to close the daycare. We continue to deal with children’s waiting list situations, and we thank the parents for their understanding and patience” – said Vice Mayor Arena Mu.
Parents are worried
During the registration period, the issue of nurseries was a very popular topic among mothers. Many people were disappointed when the first lists were announced, as not many kids got a place. And DASO announced, in a statement, that the council received 791 applications, and 469 children were accepted into the available places in the first round, while the rest of the children, more than three hundred, were placed on the waiting list. . They could have hoped that someone on the list would refuse to apply, but such a case rarely occurs, judging by the final lists, only four of the fourteen nurseries. Mothers shared their concerns on social media in various groups in search of an answer to this problem. Many people think about the idea of private nurseries, but they cost much more than public nurseries, but there were also quite a few mothers who would rather stay at home with their children for another year, as it would eat up a large part of their income, for example If they hire a babysitter.
