Before James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster, there was already a popular movie called Avatar. Knight Shyamalan directed a feature film from Nickelodeon’s animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, which ran from 2005 to 2008. Three years ago, Netflix announced that it would revive the franchise and produce a live-action series of The Last Air Bender, and now the cast and creators have been revealed.
The original writers and producers of the animated series, Michael Dante DiMartino and Brian Konitzko, left the project there last year, citing creative struggles. Instead, the lead producer of the Nikita and The Legend of the Sleepy Valley series, Albert Kim, will be the showrunner, and the executive producers will be Dan Lin (The LEGO Adventure), Lindsey Liberatore and Michael Goi.
In the Netflix series, the brave protagonist Aanget Gordon Cormier will make up Qawenteu, shocked Ian Osley Zuko has also appeared in The Legend of Shang-Chi and the soon-to-be Ten Rings Dallas Leo. Here is a picture of the young actors:
The viewer said that they will try to expand the world of the series, but there will also be surprises for old and new fans, but the most important thing for the creators is to get access to the story and characters in an original way. (Source: IGN)
