At least that's what appeared from a developer log that was leaked some time ago.
Aside from the action in Assassin's Creed Shadows, players will also have a variety of other experiences according to the latest leaks, as Ubisoft's new action RPG will include a comprehensive base-building system, if everything is correct.
In a development log posted by IGN China that has since been removed, Shadows gives players the ability to customize an entire English acre (4,046.85642 square meters) of land however they want. The video, which has been shared on other platforms, shows off this exciting new base-building feature. According to many, this game mode is almost reminiscent of The Sims 4.
Here's what the developers have to say about the feature:
“It's also a way to fully showcase the player's adventure – where they can see how they create life as they adventure.”
While Shadows isn't the first AC game to offer players a base or settlement, we've never seen a city building system or simulation with this level of customization. Previously, for example, Ravensthorpe in Assassin's Creed Valhalla had similar elements, but that settlement wasn't customizable in any way.
Based on the leaked video, the game’s base building feature looks promising so far. As the developers put it, “Assassin’s Creed isn’t always about combat.” With the base building system and other features in Shadows, it seems like the most advanced game in the series is in the works. It will soon become clear what the end result will be.
