In a small apartment, sleeping, cooking and receiving guests must be arranged in one small room.
Finding a sublease has become an increasingly hopeless task in recent years, especially in big cities, which landlords are taking advantage of: due to high prices, they are able to rent out apartments that were not affordable before.
Recently, a strange real estate advert reported a flat in London that they wanted to rent without a bedroom. The sublet advertised on Facebook is located in Ealing, west London, and is asking £1,150 per month.
It is not known exactly how large it is, but one commentator wrote that it is equivalent to half a studio apartment. Although it is advertised as unfurnished, there is a pull-out sofa bed in the corner of the only room, and the good news is that the sink, kitchen counter and washing machine also fit in the small apartment. There is no oven, but at least the oven was not salvaged.
On the other hand, the apartment has been renovated, and the bathroom is small but modern and equipped with a toilet, sink and shower, as well as a balcony. However, there is no bedroom, so most things – from sleeping to cooking to receiving guests – have to be done in the same cramped room.
Commentators were amazed that someone who lived in this apartment for a year would pay 6 million Hungarian forints for it. In addition, according to netizens, you can get a much better sublet in this part of London for that amount of money, and one person wrote that he would pay the same amount for a two-bedroom property with a separate living room in the same area.
Although not cheap, this small kitchen in London is not too bad, especially in light of the fact that an apartment in Budapest with a toilet and kitchen of 1.5 million square meters was recently announced.
