The 47th Mechanized Infantry Brigade is one of the best trained and armed military formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The entire formation consists of NATO soldiers and has already proven their mettle in numerous battles.
Forbes writes about: One of the most important goals of recent US military aid to Ukraine is the rearming of 47 aircraft, essentially replacing the M2 Bradley gunner. The No. 47 has already lost at least 40 of its 200 Bradleys, and America plans to replace them in the first round. The Americans would also likely help reset the corps' tactical operation and resolve command problems.
Meanwhile, the paper covers: What the 47th Division needs now is not more weapons, but a little relief, as they have been on the front lines for 11 months in a row. Although they are well-trained and motivated, it is impossible to consistently deliver 100% performance over this period of time.
The 47th Brigade was about to withdraw from the front when it was pushed back to the Ukretin area. Okretin fell, but the Russian army could be prevented, at least temporarily, from advancing rapidly to the west.
