This year, Zadar in Croatia hosted the World Cheerleading Championships. The distinctive feature of the event organized by the MWF (Major World Sports Federation) is that the federation has just celebrated its 20th anniversary. Competitors came from all over the world to test their skills.
DEAC actually arrived on site on September 27, so that there would be time to replenish after the long journey. The recording took place the next morning, and in the afternoon the bands marched downtown and put on a great show, they write DEAC website.
On September 29, the competition began with a ceremonial opening. On the first day, DEAC took the stage with two dances. Partha Bana and Viktoria Simkovic stood in the crowded stadium in a pompon duo formation. This was followed by a two-stick single with Eneko Pique, who finished seventh.
They learned a lot of new things
On the second day, the entire team can participate in a special mini formation, with half the guard cheering while the other half uses the stick. Our girls were more prepared than most for their choreography, and here they were able to stand together and strengthen each other. The goal was to get sixth place, which unfortunately was not achieved, despite passing by a few points.
– The team did their best in this competition as well, and the dances were executed even better – began Becky Eniko, a member of our sports cheerleading team. -We are not upset because their current goal has not been achieved.
We learned a lot of new things in the World Cup, and now we are moving forward with new ideas and goals, as we have already qualified for next year’s World Cup finals, which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa in September 2024. With this, the team has finished this season and is now starting a new season with members New features, new choreographies and new equipment.
