Croatian authorities and police forces invaded the territory of the small 7-square-kilometre state called Liberland (“Land of the Free”), which considers itself sovereign. Világgazdaság writes that the Croats’ first action took place on September 21, and since then they have been carrying out such a raid every day in the state located between Serbia and Croatia, just 20 kilometers from the Hungarian border.

Croatian police and forest guards occupied Liberland state territory. In Liberland, which is slightly larger than the states of Monaco and the Vatican, and which considers itself sovereign, but is not recognized as an independent state in international forums, Croatian authorities confiscated paddleboards (SUP) and food rations for a reason and method that is not yet clear. .

The state of Liberland was founded in 2015 by a Czech politician, who designated a disputed piece of land on the western side of the Danube River as the territorial basis of the state. To this day, this small country does not officially have a single registered resident, but after the announcement, hundreds of thousands wanted to join the initiative in the form of e-citizenship. For now, Liberland is trying to support itself through donations, but it plans to attract major investments, such as building adventure parks and accommodation development companies.

Liberals consider this small area the territory of their state:

At the same time, the state of Szabadvold has not been recognized in international forums, so Lederland is currently considered an independent state in the accepted sense of the word only by its supporters and those who join them.

At the same time, this did not prevent the leaders from showing on video the material damage they suffered in the raid carried out by the Croats. According to their announcement, material damage was caused to homes, electronic equipment, and personal items. Liberia’s leaders also said they would continue to enforce their sovereignty aspirations through legal means.
