Locals are fighting to restore the reputation of the Victorian seaside town. The Welsh town was once a popular tourist destination with holidaymakers flocking year-round to enjoy the sandy beaches and traditional seaside attractions.
Rhyl is located on the North Wales coast and had a long pier, an artificial lake for boating, a leisure park and a light railway line.
However, his reputation has taken a number of hits recently, with people sharing their scathing comments. The decline in popularity in the 1970s was blamed on the advent of package holidays, as British holidaymakers and locals flocked abroad in search of more exotic locations.
