This airline becomes the best low-cost airline in Europe in 2023

Eight airlines competed for the title.

Wizz Air won the title of Europe’s Leading Low-Cost Airline at the 30th Annual World Travel Awards (WTA). By awarding the best destinations and services, the organization serves as a benchmark of excellence across the world.

Nominees included Ryanair, Aer Lingus, easyJet, Jet2.com, Norwegian, Volotea and Vueling.

As András Radu, Communications Director at Wizz Air, said, this win confirms for the company that it is on the right track, providing great customer service to passengers, and that the award is very important for the airline.

He also shared the company’s other plans: “As for the future, over the next decade we will triple our size, acquire new aircraft, build a new team, accelerate operations and introduce new routes across Europe and beyond.”

Wizz Air has achieved extraordinary results by making travel more affordable in Europe, as Spirit Airlines has done in the United States.
