Jason Statham in more ways than one He has already met Budapest. First in the 2010 premiere of The Expendables, in which he plays the character Lee Christmas. In this film, there is a very funny dialogue in which Jason Statham says the name of our capital – and Sylvester Stallone (Barney) reacts brilliantly to it.

Then Jason Statham filmed the film “Spy in Hungary”, in which he played the main roles with Melissa McCarthy and Jude Law. It's a great action comedy in which Statham parodies himself and the action movie characters he plays.
The film was shot in Budapest and on Lake Balaton, and since many people abroad also believe that Lake Balaton is a sea, there is naturally a frenetic scene in which Statham takes to the lake, then “bloats all the way along the coast” in a rowboat. Automatically, then he sails to Italy and to Greece.” Then it soon occurs to him that there is no way to Italy or Greece from Lake Balaton, and he bursts out swearing loudly that Lake Balaton is in fact a lake.
The Spy cast had a great time in Hungary while filming the film here; Jason Statham also told Aneko Navai how he saw the people of Best and what souvenir he took home from DC:
“We love Budapest, and I wish I could be there now! It was very good in Pest, and the people are nice. I have a lot of good memories of the city, and I have never felt as good while filming as I did there in at least ten years. I met a lot of good people, and I came back “I went home with their phone numbers as a souvenir.”
