In the spring, the first images of the cabin appeared online, which offers the driver an astonishingly large living space. At least by European standards. The new cabin was completed at Scania’s cab factory in Laakso, Sweden.
Dutch outlet He thought he knew even then that the new product was much larger than the Swedish manufacturer's booth called XXL. The booth codenamed CS23 was 230 cm long, while the new booth was 310 cm long. That's why it was called CS310.
The excitement was evident from the fact that the Dutch managed to get a photo of the new cabin surrounded by workers in yellow vests, their faces covered. Of course, an empty cabin is not worth much in itself, and the lion's share of the work comes only after that to make it into a beautiful and amazing tractor.
The end result is stunning, and worthy of the title of King of the Road. Scania's UK subsidiary has shared some images of the new product. On X. The truck is officially called the “Scania 730S V8 Longline”. In other words, we can read from this that the three-axle 6×2 tractor is powered by one of Scania's most powerful diesel engines with 730 hp. Roughly, because the most powerful one has 770 hp and 3,700 Nm of torque.
And what good is an extra meter? Well, apparently for a lot of things. This has created a special sleeping area for the driver with a large bed for the driver. Under the bed, as usual, there is a pull-out drawer and a refrigerator. There is no second bed on the back wall, but a large wardrobe, thanks to which the driver has a lot of storage space.
Interestingly, this version does not have an externally accessible storage compartment, which is usually “created” from the area under the driver's bed. Everything else is unchanged, even the steps behind the spoilers, integrated into the side skirts, have not been forgotten. The wheel arches are painted in the same color as the body, but the bumpers are also painted in the same color. The sides of the cab are decorated with a griffin's head, which clearly shows where the completely new saddle came from.
For some reason, Scania didn't get much publicity for it, if the British hadn't uploaded photos of it (despite the fact that it's left-hand drive), it probably would have shunned the brand's fans. However, the king of the road shouldn't be hidden from the world.
