The first version of the PV5 is already being tested and is expected to be released in 2025.
At this year’s CES, Kia revealed its plans for a family of modular electric vehicles, created under the PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) concept. The vehicles are multi-passenger vehicles, and take on a completely different form than today’s cars: They feature a spacious interior and facilities for conversation and entertainment during the journey. The seats can be rotated for this purpose, and the steering wheel can be moved so that it does not take up space when not in use.
The family of vehicles consists of several models, including a cargo model and a smaller type for city driving, but the first model to appear will be the PV5, which is a “people carrier and mobile workshop” at the same time, according to Kia. Definition. The interior of the double-door vehicle that resembles a minibus is clean and looks comfortable based on the animation, but its real-life version will not be revealed until later, as the vehicle is still being tested.
The manufacturer plans to launch it in 2025 and will offer three different body designs, and the self-driving PV5, which can drive without a driver, may arrive later.
