TikTok Leak: Pixel 9 Pro XL vs Pixel 9 Comparison; Prototypes With Notched Backs

the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Another leak shed light on the phone's design, showing glossy sides and a matte back, and comparing the smaller Pixel 9With. onePixophoneA TikTok user shared two videos and then retweeted them with YTechB Distributed. The devices are prototype devices, indicated by the inscriptions on the back that identify Google prototypes. However, the presence of the “G” logo indicates the final device. A sticker or label covers the pattern.

Based on the videos, the smaller Pixel 9 has a glossy back, while the 9 Pro XL has a matte finish that collects fewer fingerprints. However, the side rail is reversed on the two models. The Pixel 9 Pro XL has a glossy edge, which creates a striking and somewhat unpleasant contrast.

On the units, the control marks appear on the left side near the bottom. In the US, Pixel phones have been without these marks for several generations, except for the Pixel Fold. It's not clear if this is just for the prototypes or if the final international version will also look like this.

The size difference between the Pixel 9 (expected to have a 6.24-inch display) and the 9 Pro XL (6.73-inch) is obvious, if not drastic. The Pixel 9 Pro is rumored to be 6.34 inches.

In a second video, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is compared to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has a 6.8-inch display. The footage clearly shows how thick the camera bar is.

The prices have already been leaked and we wrote about them here.
