Tracking between apps will also be disabled on Android

Later in the year, Google will follow in Apple’s footsteps.

Despite huge protests from advertising companies, as of iOS 14.5, which became available a few weeks ago, Apple mobile devices can disable app tracking between them, greatly increasing their privacy protection when used on the go.

a Bloomberg Google has also decided to follow in Apple’s footsteps long after, according to a report from Google, and will start making waves through the Google Play Services Framework in waves from the end of this year. Depending on that, the setting will be available somewhere in the Google app.

However, there is a big difference between the two companies’ implementation: Google will by default be active in sharing unique ad identifiers with apps, and if disabled, neither of the apps will have comprehensive access to the information. In contrast, selectivity is enabled in iOS, so users can, for example, choose to allow the food ordering app to continue while the Facebook app doesn’t.
