The drones could have attacked between 8:00 pm on Friday and 4:00 am on Saturday. In his late-night video address, Zelensky praised the air force’s precision, but warned of an increase in the intensity of attacks as winter approaches. Last winter, Russia launched several missile and drone attacks against Ukraine. These attacks have left millions without basic services such as electricity, heat and water during the coldest months of the year.
Despite the attacks, the Ministry of Energy drew attention to the fact that there is enough electricity to meet the country’s needs. About 1,550 consumers were left without electricity due to damage to the grid caused by drone strikes. A total of 416 settlements in the Odessa region in the south and the Zaporizhzhya region in the southeast were cut off due to drone attacks, the Ministry of Energy said.
The Ministry of Energy also reported that an oil refinery was bombed in the Odessa region, and an administrative building was damaged. According to a statement published by the Southern Military Command via the Telegram messaging application, a civilian was also injured during the raid.
