The Circletech project itself deals with the topics of urban mining, waste and materials recycling, processing technologies in waste recycling, circular manufacturing, and sustainable energy transition – just transition.
Miskolc University is committed to the success of the Circletech project.
The workshop was a special opportunity to promote the circular economy, exchange knowledge, and recognize the importance of ecosystems in terms of innovation potential and the spread of innovation in the region.
– Project Director Dr. Emre Gumpkoto explained the event.
We had guests from Lappeenranta University in Finland who shared some good examples and experiences with us. With knowledge, we can focus more on how to build a strong circular economy ecosystem
he added.
We really need to use our research activities to improve the normal economy. We consume more and more materials
– said Evelina Ripo, professor at LUT University in Finland.
We produce a lot of waste, and if we take, for example, this amount of waste that contains many important and valuable components, we must recover it and then use it to produce new materials. Research is most important, as we try to find new ways to promote recycling and the circular economy. This allows us to find best practices for companies as well
