Unsold cars have accumulated a lot at one of the giant companies

Stellantis has production reserves of more than 600 days for some models. the totalcar He cites a CarEdge analysis, according to which the Alfa Romeo Giulia is currently the worst-selling car in the entire United States, of which Stellantis has enough reserves for 617 days. There are 456 unsold Alfa Romeo Stelvios, 454 Fiat 500e, and 323 Dodge Hornets in warehouses and dealers.

Given this situation, Stellantis previously announced that it wants to maximize its US inventory of 330,000 units, indicating that the giant company has many unsold cars backlogged.

At Stellantis, more and more unsold cars are accumulating globally. In September 2021, only 689,000 cars were waiting for a new owner, but that number had risen to 1.4 million by June 2024.

Things have gone badly for Stellantis recently: The auto giant's results fell well short of expectations, while US traders sounded the alarm in an open letter, and senior management is searching for a successor to CEO Carlos Tavares.

In the first half of 2024 in the USA, sales of Stellantis brands fell by 16 percent, which had serious consequences.
