World champion Max Verstappen, driver for the Dutch Red Bull team, was fastest in Friday’s free practice at the United States Grand Prix of the Formula 1 World Cup Series in Austin.

The 26-year-old – who claimed his third World Cup title two weeks ago, in Saturday’s Qatar Grand Prix sprint race – was one-and-a-half-tenths of a second quicker in second.
The weekend program continues in Austin with qualifying practice from 11pm, which will determine the starting order for Sunday’s race, and then on Saturday, the sprint qualifier and the sprint race will be decided (starting at 0am on Sunday, CET). will be held.
