From June 17-23, Bucaramanga, Colombia, hosted the U18 Americas Championship. The tournament was won by the United States national team. The United States won the gold medal for the eleventh consecutive time on its continent in this age group.

According to the balance of power, the United States was dominant everywhere. They have scored more than 100 points in four of their six games. Brazil and their only strong competitor, Canada, managed to keep their team under 100 points.

It's true that Canada had a particularly good final against the United States. Only the USA led 36-36 at halftime. Even after that, they were unable to destroy their rivals. The Maple Leafs continued to catch up, even in the fourth quarter with a score of 60-57, and only three points separated the two sides. On the follow-up, the scissors opened slightly, but with two and a half minutes remaining, the Canadiens took possession with a score of 73-66 to conclude the final match.

Joyce Edwards, who was also named tournament MVP, finished with a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds.

In addition to Edwards, the five-star roster includes Sienna Bates (USA), Yasmin Pascoe (Canada), Ayla McDowell (Brazil) and Neria Lagowski (Argentina).

In the bronze medal match, Argentina defeated Brazil 73-66.

The top four places in the tournament, namely the United States of America, Canada, Argentina and Brazil, earned the right to participate in the 2025 U-19 World Championship.
