Ukrainian investigators have brought charges against former Zelensky supporter, billionaire businessman and billionaire Ihor Kolomoisky. This was reported by the Ukrainian newspaper Insider on Saturday.
It was reported that the relevant documents were handed over to the businessman on the morning of September 2 by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SZBU), the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Economic Security Bureau. The newspaper also published photos of Kolomoyskij standing surrounded by law enforcement officers and signing papers.
In the fall of 2022, in connection with the seizure of the assets of the Ukrnafta company, employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine searched the house of Ihor Kolomoisky. Prior to that, local media reported that the businessman had been stripped of his Ukrainian citizenship, but this has not been officially confirmed.
In February of this year, after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that not all personnel decisions had been taken, house searches of officials and businessmen in the country began. Thus, law enforcement officers approached Arsen Avakov, former Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, and officials of the Ministry of Defense and the Kyiv Tax Service.
Earlier, the Crimean authorities decided to completely deprive the Ukrainian oligarchs of their possessions in the region, thus nationalizing the properties of Zelensky and Kolomoisky.
