Inter Miami, with Lionel Messi in its ranks, won 3-1 in the League Cup match against Orlando City, but the match was not quiet for the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. He scored two goals, but already in the first half he got into a fight and clash with the opponent’s midfielder.

Lionel Messi gave Inter Miami the lead in the seventh minute, but Orlando City’s Uruguayan midfielder Cesar Arajo was able to equalize 10 minutes later.

Towards the end of the first half, the two scorers remained in the main role: Messi collided with Araújo with his body, which the Uruguayan did not like very much, who came after the 36-year-old Argentine and knocked him down.

The match referee did not consider Messi’s push illegal, which sparked a strong reaction from Orlando players, and many of them complained. In addition, the Miami striker had already received a yellow card before the incident, which he received in the 20th minute.

Naturally, the matter did not let Araujo relax either, and after the end of the first half, the verbal quarrel continued as the players left. The footage shows Messi speaking angrily to the 22-year-old midfielder.
