Marton Fucovich reached the quarterfinals of the men’s grass tennis tournament in Stuttgart, with the total prize money amounting to €795,000 (294 million forint).
The world number 83 – who is beginning his career in qualifying – beat Canada’s Denis Shapovalov (29) from a set deficit in the opening round on Tuesday, and in the round of 16 clashed with Canada’s Wu Jiping (64), who was sent off in the first round of the final. Last year’s Wimbledon, Australian Nick Kyrgios, who returned after a long injury.
