The latest leaked images of the Apple iPhone 16 have revealed the possible final design and the unusual back cover solution at the same time.
The official launch is still weeks away, but we already have a solid idea of what to expect. Apple is gearing up to launch its long-awaited flagship phone in 2024. The company is expected to officially announce the iPhone 16 series on September 10, alongside new Apple Watch models. Although the event is still weeks away, reliable rumors have already given us an early glimpse of what’s to come. The latest leaks include images of an iPhone 16 dummy.
Weibo user Witty Cat posted images of an iPhone 16 test model. The images reveal the back of the device, showing off the dual surfaces and the rear camera system.
For the next iPhone release, we expect Apple to position the rear cameras vertically to enable spatial video recording on non-Pro models. The traditional models are also likely to use the Action button, which is currently only available on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
The LED flash appears to have been left out of the camera island, and instead Apple has placed it separately to the right of the island. While it’s an unusual solution for the brand, the placement saves the company from unnecessarily increasing the diameter of the notch.
In addition to black and white, the iPhone 16 could also feature blue, green, and pink versions. Unlike last year’s dull models, Apple is likely to go for more saturated colors with this release. The keynote is less than a month away, so we should get concrete answers relatively soon. However, it’s safe to assume that this is the final form of the iPhone 16, as its appearance will be revealed soon, and Apple is believed to have finalized the design.
