Implemented MKKP Szeged Community Urban Planning Processing its results. We received a total of 236 reviews in the past month. Among the main proposals of residents are alleviation of the housing crisis, requiring the construction of apartments for municipal rent when city land is sold, and a review of the IKV. The lack of a third bridge, further modernization of public transportation, and reducing traffic in the city center are pressing issues. It will also be important to create connected and usable bicycle paths and to arrange roads and squares in the peripheral areas of the city in general.
They want a liveable bank of the Tisza River that is an integral part of the city, creating small community spaces. Keeping young people in their places is a major issue, as is increasing the greening of the city. In addition, traffic jams of Szentmihály and Gyálarét importance, local traffic problems, urban beautification ideas, and even Hódmezővásárhely were discussed.
Planning was a shared experience, so the participants could be our immediate bosses: what they dictated became “our programme”, which we want to represent and articulate in the next five years. We will do our best to draw attention to the problems pointed out, thus promoting the continuous improvement of the livability of the city. Make everything better! But seriously!
