Many US ministers and businesses will be affected by the new sanctions.
Today, Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia has taken strict measures against 61 US officials, including Finance Minister Janet Yellen and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, as well as leaders of defense and media companies.
According to the ministry, targeted punitive measures were taken in retaliation “Due to the ever-increasing US sanctions against the Russian political elite and public figures, as well as business representatives.”
The ministry said that the list of sanctions includes officials from the US Department of Defense
