It looks like we'll be able to hold Asus's next gaming phone in our hands earlier than expected.
We recently reported on a pretty hefty ROG Phone 9 specs leak, and although we expected the release at the beginning of 2025, it's very likely that the phone will launch much sooner than that. The next day, the manufacturer officially confirmed that on November 19, at a dedicated event, it will reveal all important details about the device.
What is certain is that Asus' new gaming phone will be powered by Qualcomm's powerful new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, just like the Samsung Galaxy S25, according to some rumours. The chipset houses Oryon CPU cores made with a 3nm manufacturing process, while the Adreno 830 GPU is responsible for graphical calculations. Based on initial tests, the Snapdragon 8 Elite outperforms the iPhone A18 Pro chip, suggesting exceptional performance.
Asus claims to have designed the phone more to suit the needs of gamers, but we'll have to wait a few more weeks for any additional information. The event will take place on November 19, at 12 noon Hungarian time; The presentation will also likely reveal the exact release date.
