This time, two Donaivaros players were included in the match squad, namely Cristina Garda and Geraldine Maheu, and the latter was able to prepare against her home country. The match started with Nzamili's performance, with quick saves and counterattacks, our team won the first quarter smoothly. The picture of the match did not really change in the continuation either, there was a huge difference in knowledge between the Hungarian and French teams, so fifth place was not in danger for a minute. Attila Mihawk and Sandor Shih gave everyone a chance in the match, and the end was 14-3. The Hungarian national team does not currently have the Olympic quota, and must obtain a “air ticket” to Paris to participate in the World Championships, which begins on February 4. This is the last chance, there is no room for error in Doha.
– We won the match with the quality of play and individual performance that we planned, and I was primarily satisfied with the quality of the defence. The French have improved a lot, but we don't have to give our best against them. “We are taking care of ourselves to be able to get the most out of ourselves against any opponent and fight while we have the opportunity – the rest is no longer up to us,” Attila Mihok told Nemzeti Sport after the last match.
