What crisis? Customers can wait a year and a half to get their hands on the luxury balconies of this European brand

Volkswagen-owned Lamborghini said the company is seeing a “new start” and expects a “very good year” in terms of revenue as it electrifies its car range. Stefan Winkelmann CEO of Börsen Zeitung, Bloomberg reports mentioned.

Winkelmann confirmed to the newspaper that the future of Lamborghini's everyday models, such as the Urus and the four-door Lanzador sports car, will be fully electric. The latter will arrive “before the end of the decade” and will be priced somewhere between the €265,000 (103.7 million forints) Urus sports car and the new Huracan, which costs more than €300,000 (117.4 million forints), he added.

There will never be a Lamborghini that costs less than the Urus.

– Tell.

Winkelmann stressed that Lamborghini “wants to sell hybrid cars for as long as possible – even after 2035, if possible” after the European Union plans to phase out sales of new cars powered by internal combustion engines by 2035.

The supercar brand has begun diversifying its portfolio and introduced a hybrid version of its best-selling Urus SUV earlier this year.

Lamborghini is heading towards records again. In terms of deliveries, sales and profits. We have 1.5 years of backlog and 2024 will be a very good year – also in terms of revenues.

Winkelmann said in the interview:

He added that synergies with Volkswagen in areas such as platform strategy and software give Lamborghini a “huge advantage.” The goal is to increase revenue per car through more personalization and offering special equipment.
