According to Belarusian activists
- 11 Mi-8 and Mi-24 rotary-wing military aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces to the Sisha Air Base in Bryansk,
- 9 fixed-wing Su-34 and Su-30SzM aircraft left the territory of Belarus to an unknown air base inside Russia.
According to Hajoun activists The Russian Air Force carried out the redeployment in August.
Currently, there is still only one Russian Su-25 fighter aircraft on the territory of Belarus. This essentially eliminated the Russian air operations group attacking Ukraine from Belarus.
Yesterday, Ukraine announced for the first time that almost all Russian military units had withdrawn from the territory of Belarus, and that it had begun a major redeployment in the Kubyansk region to launch a major offensive against Kharkiv and northern Donetsk.
Belarus played a particularly important role in the early stages of the invasion of Ukraine: operations against Kiev were launched from there. After its failure, the Russian Air Force regularly attacked the territory of the Ukrainian capital with long-range missiles and drones.
The current reassembly may indicate: Russia will do its best to accommodate the Donbas region after breaking Ukrainian combat capabilities in the Ukrainian campaign launched this summer.
