The exact meaning of the ending is still the music of the future.
The CS:GO lineup has changed several times over the past few years. The developers divide the groups into several categories, to which competitions and in-game modes adapt. Cobblestone was a favorite of many and we can also meet him at the major tournaments, but he has been waiting for his future at Defusal Group Sigma for quite some time now. In competitive modes, this only happens on social servers at most, but this could easily change soon.
The history of the track did not start today, as players can already find it in the 6.5 beta CS version. Its designer was none other than David Johnston, who is responsible for the Dust and Dust 2 tracks. Originally, he wanted to release a course named cs_cstle, but this was rejected by Valve. After that, the design and subsequent release of de_cbble began in the classical sense.
The developers uploaded a new version of Cobblestone a few days ago!
Stop !!! For all the Cobblestone fans out there, a developer just uploaded “de_cbble_s2”:https://t.co/FcaaeGW7oO https://t.co/Js7FUYxJxN pic.twitter.com/pAk3lK5gYZ

Steam Depot 710 covers the beta version of CS: GO. Thanks to the bug, data miners can track the activity of FPS game developers. Over the course of several months, only 6 tracks with _s2 endings were recorded, but at the end of the week, the collection expanded by one more. Modernity is quite expressive, as de_cbble_s2 has a name. It seems that developers are already relying on the updated Cobblestone folder in the early stages of Source 2, and many think we’ll have to say an agonizing goodbye to Mirage. Hopefully, in the coming period, we can get more information about what exactly the ending _s2 means.
