Women in the service of science and the economy

The Association of Serbian Women Scientists was founded by three women a year ago. On the first anniversary of the organization’s existence, a conference was held at the Regional Chamber of Commerce, where, among other things, it was discussed how and in what way economics can support research.

Dr. Sanja Budonavac Kuzmanovic, Founder of the League of Women Scientists in Serbia: Science and economics are inseparable. Our organization works to show how important science and economics are intertwined in every event we participate in. Our association helps women achieve their dreams.

Developments that are already being used in practice were also presented at the conference.

Regional Minister of Economy Nenad Ivanišević: The Serbian economy is developing and applying the results achieved by science. Every time we talk to members of the Association of Women Scientists in Serbia, we really see the innovations they are using in the economy.

The total number of members of the Association of Women Scientists in Serbia is 99. Among other things, this organization was created to improve the position of women.
