After two qualifying rounds in Sopron, all four teams had 3 points. The top three places get Olympic qualification rights, so just one team is enough to get past.
The Hungarian national team was in a very good position after defeating the Japanese on Friday, with the match starting on Sunday afternoon at 3pm. If Canada also defeats Japan, our participation in the Olympics becomes mathematically certain. In this case, we can lose even to the Spaniards, because then both the Hungarian national team and Japan will have 4 points, and the result against each other will be decided in our favor, because we won against Japan.
If Japan beats Canada on Sunday afternoon, Hungary will have to beat the Spaniards. In this case, Canada will have 4 points, and if we lose to the Spaniards we will end up with 4 points, and the results against each other will be in favor of the Canadians, since they beat us on Thursday. However, here it is important to note that if Japan beats Canada, the match against us becomes irrelevant for the Spaniards, because it would mean their automatic elimination.
