Workers at risk, could AI lead to burnout?

One of the main concerns was limited resources. According to Tenable’s head of security, “We’re not getting additional resources to evaluate the potential benefits of AI. Those resources have to come from somewhere else, either by reallocating people’s time or deferring other projects.” This can lead to Employees are being assigned additional tasks, straining already scarce resources.

Fear and anxiety among employees is also a serious problem.

“Employees are worried that their workload will increase dramatically, along with productivity expectations,” notes a career expert at Resume Now. The pressure to train and adapt to new tools continues. It can increase stress and feelings of fatigue.

According to a recent study, 63% of workers in the United States expressed concerns about the use of artificial intelligence, and 61% of them fear that it will lead to increased burnout. The level of anxiety is particularly high among young workers and women.

According to experts Companies can take steps to successfully implement AI developments without overworking workers. Hopper recommends that companies introduce AI developments gradually and avoid situations that require significant resources to evaluate and implement, as this puts too much pressure on teams. They stress the importance of clear communication: “Companies need to communicate exactly how AI will be integrated and the timeline for implementation.” In addition, it is important for companies to remind employees that AI primarily assists with routine tasks, allowing them to focus on higher-level projects.
