Not only participating in the World Cup, but even winning the intercontinental play-off has never been so successful for the Solomon Islands, and this has not changed today.
New Zealand, which has participated in two World Cups so far (1982, 2010), has outpaced its rivals: it was already 2-0 at halftime – the second goal of the newly rich team from the English Premier League, Newcastle Chris Wood scored, and is now the most successful player on the national team with his 30th hit. The “pure whites” completed the two goals with three more goals after the turn, and so on 5-0They won. Their superiority is clearly shown by the fact that they conceded only one goal in the Qatari mini-tournament.
