The first two goals were scored by Canadians who won the group match between the two teams (12-13), but they were followed by four Hungarian strikes, and at the beginning of the second quarter our advantage increased to two goals again (5-3).

The Canadians again hit a goal, but we had at least three goals from the middle of the third quarter – there were five of them, and in the end they confidently won the game by four.

Attila Peru:
“We didn’t play water polo perfectly, but we played more aggressively and fought better than the group match against the Canadians. We are improving day by day and that was our goal in this tournament as well, but we will need our best on the last day. We are fighting for a final. So I can’t be dissatisfied, we’re trying to play a good game with the Americans as well.
David Paradillo: – We started well, but then we lost our rhythm because of the great defense from the Hungarians. The opponent’s goalkeeper was a good defense too, so he put us at a disadvantage, and from here we started to speed up. We need to play more patiently in the jump, but I saw a lot of positives in this match and in the whole tournament as well.
