In recent years, Xiaomi has almost completely reshaped its lineup by packing more affordable devices under the Redmi and Poco brands, while the Xiaomi name comes with higher-end and less budget-friendly phones. However, the popular “T” series is still around, and the company will soon announce the 14T family.
Last year, the company unveiled the Xiaomi 13T models on September 26, before the 12T series arrived on October 4, and the 11T was born on September 15, 2021. Since the Xiaomi Mi 10T, the company has always come up with more cost-effective high-end devices during this period. And this year, it chose exactly the same day for the launch as the previous year.
Xiaomi will announce the 14T series on September 26, and anyone interested can mark this day on their calendars.
Based on the initial information and leaked rumors, it’s not really worth expecting any major developments this year. In many ways, the new 14T and 14T Pro models may remain the same as last year’s 13T and 13T Pro. Officially, the company has yet to reveal anything beyond the fact that we are waiting for the 14T series.
The current announcement also revealed that the strategic partnership with Leica will continue. Leica and Xiaomi have been working together for a long time, so it was expected that this would not change. Devices associated with the Leica brand can offer more interesting features, as it has not been limited to the branding printed next to the optics for some time. For high-end smartphones, photography and video recording are always a very important topic. With this, you can still stand out in terms of value for money, and many people choose a new device because they are drawn to better camera options.
Based on the leaked silhouette released by the company, the Xiaomi 14T series will be completely flat, not only from the front, but also from the back. The company is rolling out the back panel in a curved shape along the edges, which has made it more comfortable to hold the mobile phones. The 14T Pro model will still have 2.5D glass on the back, giving the case a slight curve, but the 14T will no longer have that. The frame will also be designed to fit perfectly on a straight surface, as everyone has learned from Apple “very skillfully” so far. The company said that the devices will come with a one-year, one-time screen breakage warranty.
The phones will use MediaTek chipsets. The Xiaomi 14T Pro could already get the Dimensity 9300+ chip, while the 14T could use a different version of the Dimensity 8300. They could come with 6.67-inch displays with a high resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The devices could feature IP68 certification, and the Android 14 operating system will be presented. In less than two weeks, all the secrets of the devices could be revealed.
The Xiaomi 14T series will be available globally and will also be commercially available in Hungary.
