There have been a lot of great games this year, far more than completely bad ones, but the one that stands out is Baldur’s Gate 3, which was an unexpected hit and is also number one on Metacritic’s list, ahead of The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom Tears and Alan Wake II like that.
For now, it can be played on PC and PlayStation 5, but it’s possible that the Xbox version’s release date will be announced at The Game Awards, or even released on the same day. It is also possible that prices on the previous two platforms will be reduced by some on the occasion of the awards ceremony.
Those who want to try it out without spending a single HUF, but have a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription, can play for free for two hours starting today. Be careful not to spend this time creating the character.
The screening also included The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which, according to its critics’ scores, is the second worst film of the year, after The Greyhill Incident. You could play with this for an hour and who would give it a chance despite all the bad reviews.
