Earthy neutral colors often dominate fall, but this time it seems that one particular color is dominating the fashion trends.

The most trendy shade of 2024

Called the antidote to red, pastel shades have been making a comeback lately. Whether lavender, buttery yellow, or mint green, these soft hues cover the full spectrum of sherbet flavors. But none caught our attention quite like this cool blue. During fashion month, designers like Alberta Ferretti, Arkis, and Aluwalia voted for the icy shade, from fringed dresses to silky products to lightweight cotton pieces. The latest collections prove that this shade is flattering and works whether worn head-to-toe, paired with other neutrals like white or beige, or a bright primary color like red. Perhaps the color’s success can be explained by its meaning. Icy blue shades are often associated with calm, peace, and serenity, which is what we all need in this fast-paced world.
