This time, the school gymnasium, which was decorated for the occasion, hosted the cultural event that the participating students, their parents and middle school teachers had been eagerly awaiting. The organizers placed the works of the drawing competition on the polygonal walls and on the screen that was the background of the platform that served as a place for reciting poetry. By the way, the children drew a drawing to illustrate the distinctive stories.

School Director Imrene Herzig greeted the guests who came to announce the results of the drawing competition adapted to the Poetry Day and the recitation competition, stressing that it is an event that encourages most of the young students in the region to be creative and write poetry.

– It was a good feeling to come to the gymnasium, see the drawings, the children are waiting to recite the poems, and then at the beginning of the opening to hear the performance of the students of the music school, and they give the guests a complex cultural experience as a whole – this is what Palma Magosi, head of the Bereteuivalu School District in Opening of the event. He added that drawing and studying poetry were also useful activities because the children did not watch TV or use their phones until then, but rather used their imaginations. He also pointed out the importance of exercising and being outdoors, as they can do a lot for their health.

Middle school students competed on an annual basis by reciting a poem of their choice.

The judging panel, led by teacher, writer and poet Gyula Balogh, scored, among other things, the selection of the poem, the understanding of the poem, the focus and the performance.
